Suction Accumulators
Temprite suction accumulators are used to prevent damaging overflow of liquid refrigerant and oil from going back to the compressor. They do this by metering the rate at which liquid refrigerant and oil are returned to the compressor, by heating the liquid to a gas. Each suction accumulator has one ODS inlet and one ODS outlet connection, and a threaded female pipe port. The female port is for the customer to install an over-pressure safety-relief device of his choosing.
