S5A32YS32F7XSN Refrigerating Specialties (RS) 1-1/4 S5A 1-1/4 Socket-Weld, 230 QD, Strainer

Parker's S5A is a low pressure drop gravity closing valve ideal for medium temperature suction applications. The low-pressure drop provided by the S5A ensures that losses are kept to a minimum, which is especially important in refrigeration suction lines. This heavy-duty solenoid valve is suitable for Ammonia and other refrigerants, certain oils and other fluids approved for use in refrigeration. The S5A is a pilot operated semi-steel bodied valve. The valve may be opened by means of the manual opening stem for servicing or in case of electrical power failure. The Type S5A Solenoid Valve is furnished with FPT: Internal NPT (U.S. Standard Taper Pipe Thread), Socket Weld, Weld Neck or ODS (solders over copper tubing of given diameter) connections. The valve may be easily removed from between the flanges for servicing.Features and Benefits:Standard Coil Housing Meets NEMA 3R and NEMA 4 - Rain TightCoil Housing Surpasses NEMA Salt Spray TestPlunger-Needle Assembly Same for S4A, S5A, S6N, S6A, S8FReplaceable Piston Plug AssemblyMolded Class "F" Coil ConstructionPilot Light AvailableStainless Steel NeedleManual Opening StemMOPD 20.7 bar (300 PSIG)7.6 bar (400 PSIG) maximum rated pressure (MRP)Application:Refrigerant Liquid LinesSuction LinesNOT for Hot Gas Lines or other applications where high pressure drops will exist when valve is open.
