The function of a Suction Line Accumulator is to provide temporary storage and controlled return of liquid refrigerant and oil to protect the compressor from damage by sudden surges of liquid.Applications:Suction Line Accumulators are installed in air conditioning and refrigeration systems where sudden return of liquid down the suction line is possible. Suction Line Accumulators are designed to meter both liquid refrigerant and oil back to the compressor at a controlled rate.
