Temprite 500 Series Conventional Oil Separators are impingement screen separators. In these units, the compressed mass flow enters a larger separator chamber, lowering the velocity of the mass. Atomized oil droplets collect on the impingement screen surface; as the oil drops become larger they fall to the bottom of the separator.
